Pride & Prejudice-Cassie

On Thursday, September 22, 2011, at the Orange County Performing Arts Center, I saw the play Pride & Prejudice with my mom. This play was so fantastic, I would definitely see it again.  Pride & Prejudice is about a young women, named Elizabeth Bennett, who has four sisters.  The main story line is about how Elizabeth came to marry a handsome rich man named Mr. Darcy.  My favorite character was Elizabeth’s mother, Mrs. Bennett.  She was always extremely jumpy and she was obsessed with getting her five daughters married to rich men.  The women who played Mrs. Bennett was a WONDERFUL actress. She was REALLY funny.  My other favorite character was Elizabeth’s cousin, Mr.Collins, who was very disgusting.  His hair was always greasy and he talked funny.  He was very amusing. :)

This is also Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy, but at a different ball.  Elizabeth was trying to ignore Mr.Darcy because she heard him say she was not pretty enough to dance with him.  This made him want to dance with her.   Since she did not want to be rude, she danced with him anyway.

Hey, I've got an update on my coin collection.  I now have 33 different state quarters.  The new ones are: Iowa, California, Nevada, Kentucky, New Jersey, New York, Louisiana, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, and South Dakota.  I'll update again soon.

UARS Satellite Crash ~Cassie

"The UARS Satellite is supposed to hit Earth on Friday September 23, 2011 or Saturday September 24, 2011.  The Satellite weighs about 1,200 pounds and is expected to break into more than 100 pieces.  Some pieces will burn up, but others are supposed to hit Earth.  Astronomers are not sure where the Satellite will crash, but they think it may be as far north as Alberta, Canada or as far south as Cape Horn. Part of every continent are in the UARS Satellite crash zone."

SCHOOL'S OUT!!!

West Side Story ~Cassie

On December 19, 2010, my Grandma, my friend Cathlene, Cathlene's Grandma Rita and I, all went to see West Side Story in Hollywood.  It was really cool because it was Cathlene's first time in Hollywood.  First, we went and had lunch at a little bakery, then we went to see the play.  It was FANTASTIC!!! I LOVED  it SO SO SO SO SO SO much!!! My Grandma LOVED Maria and Tony! My favorite part was the school dance because of all the dances that they did.  Cathlene and I LOVED the girls' flowing dresses.  We both picked the dress we liked best. I LOVED a purple and light blue dress and Cathlene LOVED this yellow and green dress. We had a FANTASTIC time!!! Here are some pictures of the play.                        ~Cassie

What Is A Leprechaun? By Caleb

A leprechaun is a fairy in the form of an old grumpy man.  Leprechauns are also known as “fairy cobblers” because they make shoes for elves.  But, they only make one shoe, never a pair.  A grown leprechaun is only two feet tall.  Every leprechaun possesses a pot of gold and when you find a leprechaun he has to take you to his gold. They always wear green, green hats, green shirts, green pants, green shoes, green socks, green everything. When you catch a leprechaun you can’t take your eye off of him or he’ll go poof and vanish.  If you look away he will try to trick you.
